DYNAMIC TECHNIQUE ON AERIAL ROPE AND SILKS
This workshop focuses on improving the participants' proficiency in rope and silks aerial acrobatics while emphasizing proper body alignment and technique. The workshop also provides a comprehensive exploration of different rope technique families, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of this captivating aerial discipline.
creating through collectivity
This 4-5 hour circus workshop focuses on creating in a collective. We bring our own learned and invented methods to this workshop. Starting with introductions and an emotional check-in, followed by a group warm-up emphasizing space awareness and cooperation. Participants then create individual circus sequences, receive feedback, and collectively describe what they see in these sequences using "word boards." Role-playing exercises help students explore different creative roles, and the workshop culminates in creating new sequences based on collective notes, showcasing both original and interpreted performances for feedback. The workshop concludes with a closing circle for reflections, emphasizing collaborative phrase-building in circus art.
Supporting body
The first part of the triptych is a workshop that explores how physical contact in the form of support can create shared and intimate spaces. Through performative experiments, participants investigate the role of bodies in public space, rethinking how we relate to one another and to our surroundings. By engaging in simple physical exercises rooted in presence, trust, and mutual care, the workshop invites a collective reflection on support both as a bodily action and as a social gesture.
